Green Tomatoes and Fallen Ash Tree

They are everywhere. Green tomatoes. With fall prematurely showing it's face, our tomatoes have not been able to ripen before the deer or tomato worms have their way with the huge plants and massive amounts fruit. Our granddaughters help pick the plants clean yesterday and we tried our hand at green tomato pickles. We will let you know in a couple of weeks if it was worth the effort.
Now for Woody.

The ash tree that has been lying on the ground for several years has been cut in two. Half of it was loaded on a trailer yesterday and we are going to take it to be made into useful wood. We feel like loggers on a much smaller scale. We can't begin to imagine the effort it takes to load a timber full of trees after we have loaded only half of one. I suppose we can pretend.
