I'm Back

No kidding it is hard to keep up a blog. Rather than catch up I will just start again. Woody has had several projects started and completed including resurfacing a trailer (photo to follow).
The wedding of my son and daughter-in-law was a true test of my organization skills. I made 25 round and 8 rectangular tablecloths and 140 napkins. The napkins were given to the guests which turned out to be interesting. My sisters and a few friends got greedy and took several to complete a set for their next dinner party. I guess I should be flattered. The bride took the tablecloths and I am sure she will come up with something artistic to do with them. I think the round ones will make cool floor cushions.
I will be back soon with a couple of recipes I am perfecting.
Oh yeah....the pendants. 400 lineal feet and they looked cool.

It's All Coming Together

The garage is being used, the bathroom just needs a little finish work and the wood is cut. What have we learned? I never want to put tile down again, and it is absolute heaven to pull into a garage!

As for the lumber.....Menards!

Shed Some Light

So we are waiting for electricity and then the garage can be used. Global warming has kept us from having to scrape windshields and for that we are thankful. Yesterday, Peg put the garage door up for the first time and if she hadn't seen it with her own eyes, she never would have believed it. It was literally silent. Peg can't wait to have the recycling outside. Woody has already put a tractor, power washer and a go-cart in it. Peg has asked the electrician to put a strip of lights down the center so Woody stays away from her side.

If You Build It.....

It's been awhile but we are back. Our new garage is going up, slowly and now a little inclement weather is involved. Hopefully we will beat the snow and not have to scrape our windows this winter. I hope I haven't spoken too soon.
The bathroom cabinets are here, I have everything I need to tile the floor and we have watched every possible you tube video on tiling known to man. Now I just need to get Woody to breath and let me do it.
I'll let you know how it goes.

Timberrrrrrr

So we cut down another tree. It is as if there is never enough to do. The only problem was it didn't fall where it was intended and it hit the grandchildren's fort. Boy did Papa get read the riot act after the tears stopped. If the drama is this huge at age seven, can you imagine 16!? And they are twins!!!!!

Getting Pickled

They are delicious! The green tomato pickles made earlier in this blog. I did a dill pickle recipe, added a jalapeno, a couple cloves of garlic and a sprig of dill in each jar. They are so good! Woody and I ate an entire pint with burgers this week. I will definitely make these again.

Dangling Parts

Did you know the multi-purpose uses of a floor jack? How about suspending tractor parts, painting and drying them. Orange is the color around here.
