Timberrrrrrr

So we cut down another tree. It is as if there is never enough to do. The only problem was it didn't fall where it was intended and it hit the grandchildren's fort. Boy did Papa get read the riot act after the tears stopped. If the drama is this huge at age seven, can you imagine 16!? And they are twins!!!!!

Getting Pickled

They are delicious! The green tomato pickles made earlier in this blog. I did a dill pickle recipe, added a jalapeno, a couple cloves of garlic and a sprig of dill in each jar. They are so good! Woody and I ate an entire pint with burgers this week. I will definitely make these again.

Dangling Parts

Did you know the multi-purpose uses of a floor jack? How about suspending tractor parts, painting and drying them. Orange is the color around here.

Harvest Interruptus

We were unable to move the log last Sunday due to the guy being in the field. This Sunday we loaded up our granddaughters and headed to rural Lone Tree. The fields are beautiful in hues of gold and brown. The maple and ash trees are starting to change color and the poison ivy can't hide with it's purple shining through the undergrowth. You can tell Woody was driving and the quilter, in the passenger seat was able to suck up the scenery. It was definitely easier to unload the log than it was to load it. Woody took off to use the outdoor bathroom and before he could zip up, the trailer was empty. Pretty cool.
